Job Summary
Transitions – Mental Health Association (TMHA) has an opening for a Rehabilitation Assistant. Under the general direction of the Program Manager, The Rehabilitation Assistant supervises client employees and provides a positive, supportive, and instructional work environment. The Rehabilitation Assistant will assist the Manager in maintaining production quotas, supervising, maintaining, developing, and marketing the crops, grounds maintenance, and other operations at Growing Grounds Farmin Santa Maria. The Rehabilitation Assistant will also be responsible for the supervision of clients with psychiatric disabilities who work at the farm. The Rehabilitation Assistant is expected to help program clients in acquiring and enhancing skills that will help enable them to live and work comfortably in the community. .
Compensation
Part-Time, $9.90 to $12.87 per hour (depending on experience)
Minimum Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance, and DMV driving record that meets TMHA’s current vehicle insurance requirements in order to drive the company vehicles. At the time of hire, as a condition of employment, must comply with a T.B. skin test or chest x-ray indicating a negative tuberculosis result. Must receive a criminal record clearance as a condition of employment. Possess strong interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills.
