Job Summary
The Employment Program assists Transitional Age Youth (TAY) and adults with persistent mental illness in vocational skill building. Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Instructor is responsible for teaching the Office Skills Training Program, updating the curriculum as needed and ensuring that skills taught are current with business/industry requirements. The Instructor will also conduct Vocational Evaluations related to Office Skills. The Instructor will facilitate and support wellness, recovery and resiliency in all clients and will uphold and promote the program philosophy in all duties performed.
Compensation
$13.86 - $18.07/hr DOE. Full-Time, 40 hours per week. Benefit eligible position
Minimum Requirements
AA/AS degree, Bachelor’s Degree in business, education, or related field, or equivalent. Computer proficient. Three years progressively responsible office work and two years teaching experience, or equivalent. Minimum one year of related experience with psychiatrically disabled population. In-depth knowledge of computer operation and currently-taught software programs; knowledge of hospitality and accounting subjects desirable. Familiarity with labor market needs in the business and medical fields. Expertise in Human Anatomy & physiology, and Medical Terminology. Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and time management skills. Valid California Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, proof of auto insurance, and DMV driving record that meets TMHA’s current vehicle insurance requirements. Must be at least 18 years of age.
