Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Division
Director, the Property Manager is responsible for the coordination,
performance, and completion of facility and appliance repairs, remodels, and
maintenance; processing of rents and related documentation; performing regular
building inspections to identify maintenance needs; communicating with Program
Managers and Directors on related issues, interacting with residents in a
positive and respectful manner, and upholding and promoting the agency’s
philosophy in all duties performed. This
position requires extensive travel between Lompoc and Atascadero.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of two years’ experience working in
residential property management OR construction or contracting experience in a
housing environment. Bachelor’s Degree
from a four year university a plus. Familiarity
with the San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara County area preferred. Ability to skillfully manage financial, maintenance, and
interpersonal relationships well, and with minimal supervision. Understanding of basic tenant/landlord
“notice of entry” laws. Strong interpersonal skills and oral/written
communication skills; able to deal effectively and respectfully with a variety
of people and personality types regardless of ethnic, racial, religious
background or socio-economic level.
Bilingual Spanish skills a plus. Exceptional organizational and time
management skills; and mechanical aptitude. Aptitude for business and budget
management. Computer literacy (Microsoft Office) skills. Conditions of
employment include: must be at least 18 years of age; possess a valid CA
Driver’s License, minimum of 2 years driving experience, reliable
transportation, proof of auto insurance, and DMV driving record that meets
TMHA’s current vehicle insurance requirements.
May be required to utilize personal vehicle and auto insurance. At the time of hire, other conditions of
employment are to comply with a T.B. skin test or chest x-ray indicating a
negative tuberculosis result, and receipt of a criminal record clearance
through fingerprinting. Must be able to
successfully complete First Aid and CPR training.
Compensation:
Full
time, exempt position, generous benefits. $38,960-$54,556
annually, DOE
