Job Summary:
Transitions – Mental
Health Association (TMHA) has an opening for a Center Support Aide. This
position is located at the Atascadero Wellness Center “Life House”.
The Center Support
Aide is responsible for assisting with organization and direction of TMHA
Wellness Centers designed to assist adults in their journey to mental health
wellness & recovery, as well as connect members and participants to their
community. This position promotes mental health wellness & recovery for the
members and is responsible for having knowledge and skills in all aspects of
the Wellness Centers.
Minimum Requirements:
Individuals who have had lived experience as
a consumer of mental health services are encouraged to apply. High School diploma or equivalent an
awareness/understanding of the needs of psychiatrically disabled population;
and/or experience in field of job coaching. Must have a basic knowledge of
computers and Microsoft Office programs.
Strong interpersonal skills and oral/written
communication skills; well defined organizational and time management skills,
and collaborative work style. Ability to handle intense situations, display
good judgment and decision making skills and remain calm and clearheaded under
pressure. Conditions of employment include: must be at least 18 years of age;
possess a valid CA Driver’s License, minimum of 2 years driving experience,
reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance, and DMV driving record that
meets TMHA’s current vehicle insurance requirements. May be required to utilize personal vehicle
and auto insurance. At the time of hire,
other conditions of employment are to comply with a T.B. skin test or chest
x-ray indicating a negative tuberculosis result, and receipt of a criminal
record clearance through fingerprinting.
Must be able to successfully complete First Aid and CPR training.
Compensation:
Part-Time, 18-20 hours per week. $10.00-$12.87 per hour, depending on experience
