Position Closed-After Hours Call Supervisor - San Luis Obispo

Job Summary

Transitions - Mental Health Association (TMHA) has a position available for an After Hours Call Supervisor.  The Hotline After Hours Call Supervisor will be a Full-Time, Temporary, 2 year position. A paid internship is possible.  The Hotline After Hours Call Supervisor position answers calls from the public and County Mental Health staff during a designated overnight period.  The Hotline staff offers support and encouragement to callers, refers them to mental health and related resources in the community and assesses for crises.  In the event that a caller is in a crisis, the staff will provide follow-up linkage to appropriate crisis intervention personnel.  This position promotes recovery and wellness, encouraging callers in their self-care.

The staff is also responsible for assisting the Program Coordinator in the operations of the call center, including volunteer scheduling, supervision of volunteers and documentation required by contracting agencies. The staff will uphold and promote the philosophy of TMHA in all duties performed.

Minimum Requirements
Must be available to work a designated overnight shift. Spanish Bi-lingual preferred. Have clear oral/written communication skills; able to deal effectively with a variety of people and personality types regardless of ethnic, racial, religious background or socio-economic level. Must be familiar with basic telephone and cell phone functions. Must be reliable, ethical, and work well with minimum supervision. Good judgment, decision making, and problem solving skills. Reliable transportation to and from work. Conditions of employment include: must be at least 18 years of age  At the time of hire, other conditions of employment are to comply with a T.B. skin test or chest x-ray indicating a negative tuberculosis result, and receipt of a criminal record clearance through fingerprinting.  


Compensation
Full-Time, 40 hours per week, benefit eligible. 13.86-18.07, DOE
