Youth Treatment Program

POSITION SUMMARY:

Transitions – Mental Health Association (TMHA) has an opening for a Social Worker/ Therapist at the Youth Treatment Program, a 9 bed state licensed residential treatment program for adolescents. Under the general direction of and in conjunction with the Program Manager and other program therapists, the Social Worker/ Therapist provides professional therapeutic treatment services to the residents and their families. This position is also responsible for providing social work services to the program, clients, outside agencies, and the Juvenile Court.

HOURS
Part-time 20 hours per week, must be available evenings

SALARY
$20.32 - $31.75 HR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, & LICENSURE

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
California MFT/LCSW license preferred; will consider a California registered intern (Supervision is provided); at least 1 yr experience with resident population and prefer 50% of intern hours completed. Conditions of employment include: must be at least 18 years of age; possess a valid CA Driver’s License, minimum of 2 years driving experience, reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance, and DMV driving record that meets TMHA’s current vehicle insurance requirements. May be required to utilize personal vehicle and auto insurance. At the time of hire, other conditions of employment are to comply with a T.B. skin test or chest x-ray indicating a negative tuberculosis result and health screen, and receipt of a criminal record clearance. Must be able to successfully complete First Aid and CPR training.
