Job Summary
The Marketing and Outreach Coordinator oversees the public relations, marketing, presentation and reporting functions, and website management for Transitions-MHA. This position promotes the TMHA mission, supports outreach and mental health education in the community, works with media to promote special events and educational campaigns, develops presentations such as Power Point and print materials for meetings, reports and community events. This involves continuously improving mission-oriented marketing and public relations promotion as well as crafting program and event-specific messages for events, agency businesses and mental health education. The Coordinator will work collaboratively TMHA program staff to maintain information for promotion and messaging content as well as program outcomes. In all areas, the Marketing and Outreach Coordinator will uphold the program philosophy in all duties performed and promote social rehabilitation, recovery, and wellness.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree. Excellent computer skills required, including proficiency with Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, web community (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Blogger) and web marketing (Constant Contact) applications. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs a plus. Strong interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills; able to deal effectively with a variety of people and personality types. Able to work efficiently and creatively in a team environment. Knowledge of mental illness treatment and medications, as well as related systems such as County Mental Health, Social Security, Vocational Rehabilitation and others a plus. Must be responsible, and reliable, and possess problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Conditions of employment include: must be at least 18 years of age; possess a valid CA Driver’s License, minimum of 2 years driving experience, reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance, and DMV driving record that meets TMHA’s current vehicle insurance requirements. May be required to utilize personal vehicle and auto insurance. At the time of hire, other conditions of employment are to comply with a T.B. skin test or chest x-ray indicating a negative tuberculosis result, and receipt of a criminal record clearance through fingerprinting. Must be able to successfully complete First Aid and CPR training.
Compensation
Full-Time, Exempt position. $33,550-$43,680 annually, DOE. Benefit Eligible
