Position Filled - Clerical Support Staff

Program: Vida Nueva - Lompoc

Job Summary:
Transitions Mental Health Association has openings for a Clerical Support Staff for the Vida Nueva Program, a large start-up program. The Vida Nueva Program is a Mental Health Services Act (MHSA)-funded, intensive Assertive Community Treatment program designed to engage with and provide services to transitional age youth (ages 16-25), adults, and older adults with serious and persistent mental illness so they can succeed in the community. Vida Nueva will provide the full range of services including engagement, assessment, individualized planning, personal service coordination, integrated co-occurring drug and alcohol services, medication support, counseling support, social skills development, supported housing, integrated vocational services, supported education and access on a 24/7, 365 day basis. Vida Nueva promotes healing and recovery through a “whatever it takes” approach to service delivery. Activities, skills building, transportation, and all aspects required to help clients succeed.

The Support Staff assists the Team Leader with the daily business operations of the Vida Nueva Program.

Minimum Requirements
Must be Spanish bilingual. High school diploma or equivalent. Must be 18 years of age as required by TMHA’s insurance carrier. Ability to handle intense situations, display good judgment and decision making skills, and remain calm and clearheaded under pressure. A high level of organizational and time management skills. Multi – tasking and prioritizing skills necessary. Computer and office skills (word processing, filing, phone skills, and data entry) required. Must hold (or obtain within 45 days of employment) a valid California Driver’s License, proof of auto insurance, and a DMV driving report satisfactory to TMHA’s insurance carrier, as a condition of employment. At the time of hire, as a condition of employment, must comply with a T.B. skin test or chest x-ray indicating a negative tuberculosis result and a health screen indicating fit for duty. Must be fingerprinted and receive a criminal record clearance as a condition of employment.

Compensation
Full-time position– 40 hours per week; $12.13 - $16.63 per hour, DOE, benefit eligible
