Program: Supported Housing Services - Santa Maria

Job Summary
The Supported Housing Program will deliver treatment, rehabilitative and supportive services to 130 clients “in vivo” in regular community settings (e.g., home, apartment, job site). For all Supported Housing Team clients, functioning in major life domains presents significant personal difficulties. These domains include affordable, safe housing; meaningful daily pursuits, including employment; and satisfying interpersonal relationships. Addressing the rehabilitation needs of clients in these key domains will be the Supported Housing Team’s essential purpose. The Supported Housing Team will include an on site ADMHS psychiatrist, two registered nurses, and nine staff. The foundation of the Supported Housing Team shall be integrated treatment, rehabilitation and support services.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for conducting psychiatric assessments; assessing physical health needs; making appropriate referrals to community physicians; providing management and administration of medication in conjunction with the psychiatrist; providing a range of treatment, rehabilitation, and support services; and sharing shift-management responsibility with other staff.

Minimum Requirements
Must be licensed as a Register Nurse in California and have experience working in the mental health field. Spanish Bi-lingual/Bi-Cultural Preferred. Must have a strong commitment to the right and ability of each person with a severe and persistent mental illness to live in normal community residences; work in market jobs; and have access to helpful, adequate competent, and continuous supports and services. Skills and competence to establish supportive trusting relationships with persons with severe mental illnesses and respect for client rights and personal preferences in treatment are essential. Valid Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, proof of auto insurance, and DMV driving record that meets Transitions – Mental Health Association’s current vehicle insurance requirements, position may require use of personal vehicle.

Compensation
Part Time Hours, non-benefit eligible OR Full-Time, Exempt. $61,776 -$75,108 annually, depending on experience. Generous vacation, sick, and holiday; medical, and dental insurance included.
