Job Summary
Transitions - Mental Health Association
(TMHA) has a full time position available for a Family Partner in Southern San
Luis Obispo County, with a coverage area of Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach, Shell
Beach, Pismo Beach, Oceano, and Nipomo. The Family Partner functions as a liaison
and support to the families of children who receive services through County
Mental Health. The Family Partner will
work in collaboration with Mental Health and multi-agency staff in facilitating
the philosophy of wellness, recovery and resiliency with children and families.
This position provides linkage to education, information and referral, and
community outreach for families. The Family Partner will work closely with
County Mental Health Staff and will uphold program philosophy in all duties
performed.
Minimum Requirements
Must be Spanish
Bilingual. Parent/caregiver of a child who has received mental health services preferred. Knowledge of the children’s system of care and the needs of seriously emotionally disturbed children and their families preferred. Completion of a
high school diploma or equivalent, including basic computer skills. Conditions of employment
include: must be at least 18 years of age; possess a valid CA Driver’s License,
minimum of 2 years driving experience, reliable transportation, proof of auto
insurance, and DMV driving record that meets TMHA’s current vehicle insurance
requirements. May be required to utilize
personal vehicle and auto insurance. At
the time of hire, other conditions of employment are to comply with a T.B. skin
test or chest x-ray indicating a negative tuberculosis result, and receipt of a
criminal record clearance through fingerprinting. Must be able to successfully complete First
Aid and CPR training.
Compensation
Full time - 40 hours per week, benefit eligible. $13.86 - $18.07 per hour, DOE
