Job Summary
Transitions – Mental Health Association has an opening for an Assistant Program Supervisor. Under the general direction of the Program Manager, the Assistant Program Supervisor is responsible for assisting clients with psychiatric disabilities in developing the skills that will enable them to live and work independently in the community. This position promotes social rehabilitation for the clients and is responsible for having knowledge and skills in all aspects of the program.
Minimum Requirements
Completion of High School or equivalent (some college coursework preferred). Experience working with a psychiatrically disabled population preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must hold (or obtain within 45 days of employment) a valid California Driver’s License, proof of auto insurance, and a DMV driving report satisfactory to TMHA’s insurance carrier, as a condition of employment. At the time of hire, as a condition of employment, must comply with a T.B. skin test or chest x-ray indicating a negative tuberculosis result. Must receive a criminal record clearance as a condition of employment. Possess strong interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills; ability to handle crisis situations, display good judgment and decision making skills, remain calm and clearheaded under pressure, and possess well-defined organizational and time management skills.
Compensation
40 hours per week, benefit eligible, $10.45-$14.12 per hour, depending on experience.
