Job Summary

Transitions – Mental Health Association (TMHA) has an opening for a Rehabilitation Assistant. Under the general direction of the Program Manager, the Rehabilitation Assistant is responsible for the organization and direction of adult clients with psychiatric disabilities in acquiring and enhancing skills that will help them to live and work comfortably in the community.

Minimum Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must hold (or obtain within 45 days of employment) a valid California Driver’s License, proof of auto insurance, and a DMV driving report satisfactory to TMHA’s insurance carrier, as a condition of employment. At the time of hire, as a condition of employment, must comply with a T.B. skin test or chest x-ray indicating a negative tuberculosis result. Must receive a criminal record clearance as a condition of employment. Possess strong interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills; ability to handle intense situations, display good judgment and decision making skills, remain calm and clearheaded under pressure, and possess well-defined organizational and time management skills.

Compensation

Part-Time 20 hours per week, $9.90 to $12.87 per hour (depending on experience)
