Program: Supported Employment Program

Job Summary
The Job Coach is responsible for conducting work assessments and providing on/off-site job training and vocational support to clients who have been placed in competitive employment. The job coach is the primary support staff who helps the clients adjust to their employment. The Job Coach may provide additional rehabilitation support to other TMHA Vocational Programs including Growing Grounds Farm and Growing Grounds Store. Horticultural experience helpful. The Job Coach will uphold and promote the program philosophy in all duties performed.

Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma and an awareness/understanding of the needs of psychiatrically disabled population; and/or experience in field of job coaching. Knowledgeable and able to teach Microsoft Office program. Strong interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills; well defined organizational and time management skills, and collaborative work style. Conditions of employment include: must be at least 18 years of age; possess a valid CA Driver’s License, minimum of 2 years driving experience, reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance, and DMV driving record that meets TMHA’s current vehicle insurance requirements. May be required to utilize personal vehicle and auto insurance. At the time of hire, other conditions of employment are to comply with a T.B. skin test or chest x-ray indicating a negative tuberculosis result, and receipt of a criminal record clearance through fingerprinting. Must be able to successfully complete First Aid and CPR training.

Compensation
Relief Shifts. $11.27 – $14.74 depending on experience
